Lakshmi Puja is a Hindu religious festival that falls on Amavasya of Krishna Paksha in the Hindu calendar month of Ashwin. Laxmi Puja is totally dedicated to diwali on which, Every year Goddess Laxmi visits our homes.in Every year laxmi puja is celebrated on October-November month, and another Hindu prayer which is performed on the third day of diwali and is considered as the main festive day of Deepawali. Lakshmi Puja is a combination of five deities which includes Lord Ganesha, saraswati ,Mahakali, Lakshmi and Lord Kuber. Many people believe that worshipping Goddess Laxmi will bring good luck, removes all the problems or issues from the professional and personal life. It makes one financially stable and wealthy. People also perform this puja for the success of their new-age businesses and startups.
According to story of devi Lakshmi, Goddess Laxmi is also the wife of Lord Vishnu.
people believed that Lakshmi likes cleanliness and will visit the cleanest house first.To welcome the Goddess laxmi, people clean their houses, and offerings of haldi (turmeric) and sindoor (vermilion) on this day. People decorate their home with diyas and lights, and draw Rangoli on the doorstep and welcome Goddess Lakshmi, and prepare sweet treats, fruit, dry fruit, and delicacies for offering goddess Lakshmi. people believe the more happier goddess will be, the more she blesses the family with health and wealth.
On the evening of Diwali, people open their doors and windows to welcome Lakshmi, and place diya lights on their windows, doors and balcony to invite her in house.And wear new clothes or their best outfits as the evening approaches.Small lamps filled with oil are lighted and placed in rows by some Hindus along the parapets of temples and houses. Some set diyas adrift on rivers and streams.Important relationships and friendships are also recognized during the day, by visiting relatives and friends, exchanging gifts and sweets. And pray for good health, prosperity and happiness of their loved ones.
